HCR recognizes the necessity for our patients to have a home care agency that understands their cultural preferences regarding health care, health information, and health care providers. HCR employs specially trained, culturally competent health care professionals and uses evidence-based health care practices.
HCR’s Transcultural Program is based on Madeleine Leininger’s Theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality. Our culture-based home care models specifically address Hispanic, African American, and Ukrainian cultures. Transcultural care is especially appropriate for rural/farm communities and the unique culture characterized in these areas.
HCR will respect and support your family traditions, religious beliefs, and facilitate your language requirements. Bilingual staff provide the expert care you expect and deserve. Educational materials and other printed directives are available in Spanish, Ukrainian, and Russian. HCR also understands and supports unique food traditions. Our diabetic and heart-healthy meal plans have been thoughtfully developed according to your cultural preferences.
If you are concerned about respect and support of your cultural requirements, call HCR today. We will provide an effective plan of care to keep you where you want to be – safe and comfortable in your own home. Our goal is to meet patients’ needs in a culturally sensitive manner that is most appropriate for the individual and their families.
