HCR has been honored to receive a number of awards recognizing our exceptional patient care and outcomes, and our significant contributions to the field of home care.
In 2007, and again in 2008 HCR was presented with the IPRO Quality Award, for exemplary performance in reducing avoidable acute care hospitalizations and improving oral medication management, and ranking within the top 10% of all NYS Medicare-certified home health providers for both measures. IPRO is a national organization providing a full spectrum of healthcare assessment and improvement services that foster more efficient use of resources and enhance healthcare quality. IPRO is highly regarded for the independence of its approach, and the integrity of its programs.
In 2011, HCR was the recipient of the OCS HomeCare Elite™ Top 100 Agency award, out of 9,724 agencies, HCR was the only agency in New York State to receive this honor. Previously, HCR has been a recipient of the OCS HomeCare Elite™ Top 500 Agency award in each of the five years since the award's inception in 2006 - one of only 42 Certfied Home Health Agenies n nationwide who can claim this distinction. The HomeCare Elite™ is a compilation that recognizes the most successful Medicare- certified home health care providers in the United States. Winners are ranked by an analysis of quality outcomes, quality improvement, and financial performance.
In 2006 HCR received the Rochester Business Ethics Award. An independent panel of judges based its decision on published criteria that includes executive commitment to business ethics, company ethics program, conflict resolution procedures, sound ethical business practices, and demonstration of good corporate citizenship. The Rochester Business Ethics Awards are sponsored and organized by the Rochester Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Rochester Business Alliance, and St. John Fisher College.
In 2008 HCR was awarded the Leininger Breakthrough Honorable Mention Award by the Transcultural Nursing Society in recognition of the agency’s significant contributions and breakthroughs in the field of transcultural nursing. The TCNS seeks to provide nurses and other health care professionals with the knowledge base necessary to ensure cultural competence in practice, education, research, and administration.
